Getting 2012 Off to a Great Start

Managing and Monitoring Your Social Media in 20 Minutes a Day (or less!)

Managing and Monitoring Your Social Media in 20 Minutes a Day (or less!)

Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, G+ and other social networks can be both a blessing and a curse. They are an invaluable way to keep in touch with friends, family, business associates, clients and customers. You can use them for everything from networking to establishing your expertise and from researching to finding fun diversions. Once you start using them, it is not uncommon to wonder how you ever lived without them!

But whether you are using them for business and or pleasure, they can also be a huge time drain! The number one problem I hear from active social media users, by FAR, is that they are overwhelmed by all the time they find themselves spending on the various sites and are having a hard time determining if there really is any ROI, any Return on this Investment of time.

In direct response to this pressing concern, I have created a new training program showing you how to Manage and Monitor YOUR Social Media profiles in 20 minutes a day or less! Really.

I know this sounds a bit like an infomercial promise, but it is true.  I will be honest with you, you will NOT be able to have a robust, active presence on EVERY site in that time frame. Nor will you be able to adequately nurture your Farmville animals AND find valuable leads on LinkedIn and Twitter within that allotment. Actually, much of the program is predicated on clearly defining your goals and determining which platforms are best for you so you are not spreading yourself too thin.  It also requires you to be honest about both how much time you are spending on these sites and just what it is that you are doing there.

Using our series of Checklists, we will help you stay on target. Customized for YOUR specific needs and goals, we will come up with a series of tasks to be performed each day which will not exceed 20 minutes (unless you want it to!). These lists will help you keep track of your progress and help you determine your results. If your goal is to get 1 new lead a week, we will create plan that will get you there.  If your focus is on establishing your expertise, we will tailor your checklists to emphasize content sharing. This is a personalized approach that WILL produce results.

And like those diets that allow for ‘cheating’, we can build in time to visit your personal profile or tend to Farmville if that is important to you – it really is up to you!

The first step is to set up a strategy session so we can clearly define your goals and come up with a plan to meet them. We will then create the checklists for your tasks and train you, as necessary, to perform them.

There may be some preparation involved. We will need to create and/or optimize your profiles in order to make them most effective for the goals you set.  For example, if your goal is to establish yourself as an expert in the area of pediatric dentistry, we will need to make sure that your profiles are properly saturated with those keywords and that your content is attracting the right people.

We will also need to build valuable, engaged communities on each of the platforms you will focus on. You may have thousands of followers on Twitter, but if you are scanning your stream and not finding anything worth reading or re-tweeting, that is not a valuable community. If no one is sharing your posts, it too, may be a sign of a poor community match.  Or that can be a sign of a larger, more important problem – you may not be posting share-worthy content!  If that is the case, we can come up with a content plan so your posts will be more valuable and more likely to be shared.

Generating content and following up with leads will not necessarily be included in the 20 minute time frame, though we can discuss tools and tactics to optimize your time spent on those tasks as well.

As you become more comfortable with these sites and start making progress towards your goals, you may choose to spend more time on social media; the idea is to show you how to most effectively use your time on these sites, no matter how much, or little, you decide to allocate.

And if 2012 is the year that you have vowed to START getting active on Social Media, this is an excellent way to begin!

In the early Spring, I will be offering this training as a full morning workshop but for now, am only offering it as a one-on-one or team training.  Please call 212.664.1872 or email me at 20min@LisaMarieDiasDesigns.com today to get on our calendar so you can get 2012 off to a Great Start!
