How and Why to use Social Share on Constant Contact – Tutorial

Recently, Constant Contact added a very helpful feature called ‘Social Share‘. This is a quick and easy way to share your e-newsletter issues and anything else you have published via Constant Contact, with your social networks.

For those of you that have been archiving each issue to get a link, this is a big time saver. And for those of you that never quite figured out how to archive to find the link, this does it for you.

With sharing this simple, there is no reason not to do it! Here is a quick tutorial on how to use this great new feature.

Click on any ‘sent’ email or any invitation to a ‘published’ event.

Find and click on the ‘Social Share’ button as shown

 

1. Pick the profiles that you want to send to (CC will automatically display all the social media profiles you have linked to in your account)

2. They will provide a generic message – click the edit link to modify.   Note that you have the options of creating different messages for each field (each platform).

3. You also have the option of adding a thumbnail image for the FB posts.  I do recommend that you add images whenever possible.

4. Click publish!

And the post will be sent to the platforms you indicated.

Note that  “&amp” was substituted for the ampersand in my message and that, unless you delete it, the #constantcontact will be included.
